30 Sep REAC to Host National Stakeholder Engagement Seminar on Real Estate Regulation
The Real Estate Agency Council (REAC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources, will host a National Stakeholder Engagement Seminar on 15th October 2025 at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra. Themed “Strengthening Real Estate Regulation Through Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration,” the seminar will bring together key actors across the real estate value chain, including regulators, developers, financial institutions, investors, professional bodies, policymakers, and consumer representatives.
The objective of the engagement is to deepen discussions on sustainable regulation of the real estate industry in Ghana, ensure effective enforcement of the Real Estate Agency Act, 2020 (Act 1047), and promote collaboration between public and private sector stakeholders. Speaking ahead of the event, REAC emphasized the importance of robust regulatory frameworks to protect consumers, curb fraudulent practices, and attract responsible investment into Ghana’s property market. The Council also noted that stakeholder partnerships are essential for shaping policies that balance the interests of government, industry players, and the public.
The Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources expressed its support for the seminar, describing it as a platform to align national housing policies with emerging real estate market dynamics. The one-day seminar will feature plenary sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, allowing participants to share insights on regulation, financing, compliance, and the future of technology in the real estate sector. Registration for the seminar is currently open through the official REAC channels. Stakeholders and interested participants are encouraged to secure their participation early.
